Three years after a reckless US and NATO-driven proxy war against Russia using Ukraine as their battlefield, and the senseless slaughter of 750,000 Ukrainians, the inevitable has arrived: Washington has lost.
If Trump's figures are correct of 1.5 to 1.7 million left in Gaza, from the nearly 2.4 prior to October 7, then between 600,000 and 800,000 Palestinians, nearly half of them children have been murdered in the name of revenge, collective punishment and maintaining Israel's occupation of Palestine.
Well what many do not understand is that the 48,000 is only identified dead. Where a corpse has been identified.
With thousands of bodies rotting in the rubble, thousands shredded or evaporated, we will not know the final count until the living are counted and compared against data held by the Gazan authorities and the data held by the Israelis who issue ID cards to every single Palestinian, including those in Gaza.
Children in particular are more likely to be shredded or evaporated by these massive bunker-busting bombs dropped on homes because there is less of them. Dogs have also eaten a lot of the corpses or rendered them impossible to identify.
Looking at the destruction and the fact Israel has actively targeted civilians, the final death toll has to be in the hundreds of thousands. That was of course the Israeli goal, extermination of as many as possible and terrorising any who remained alive.
It has already been said, and I am sure these figures increase by the day, around 1500 families have been completely exterminated and about as many again have one family member left alive.
And any final figure will have to factor in those who died of starvation, disease from filthy water and conditions and denial of medical care, i.e. destruction of hospitals and murder of doctors. But since Israel and the Gaza authorities each have the records for inhabitants, there is no reason why final figures cannot be accurate.
Remember The Great North Korean Cofeve? Lurching from threats of war to embraces (while neocons got the vapors), to unreasonable and unrealistic demands. In the end, nothing much changed.
So let's wait before taking a victory lap, what say?
The US is lead by the least among us - and this is another nail in the fucking coffin of stupid knuckle dragging neoliberalism and its water head neocon foreign policy.
I see it (slightly) differently: American society, the man in the street, they lost (yet again) - American (and other) big corporations – they got rich (yet again).
All that money went somewhere...
The corporations don't care about anything. They are machinery of profit. And they run America. Or actually “America”, as a whole, is built entirely around them (and their needs). The guys that were responsible for the 2008 financial crisis, for 911, for the Afghan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Gaza "wars" etc – they just got rich (none of them was arrested, I think).
It is even possible in my mind that "Ukraine" was a fully corporate fake-war (over Putin and Biden's heads) while all the rhetoric of Biden and Europe against Putin was largely for a show.
'...but press the US to rein in its closest ally, Israel.'
Yeap. This should be one of the top priorities in such negotiations between the US and other superpowers as a way to pressure the US and Israel to stop their evil imperialist ambitions. More of this type of pressure is very much needed.
A secured Relationship with America? There is no such thing as Secure Relationship. America is a FOREIGN FASCIST COUNTRY THAT BELIEVES IN DOMINATING THE WORLD. No matter the cost. Allies or Adversaries all are ENEMIES TO THE USA. Sanctions,Tariffs,MILITARY INTERVENTIONS,PROXY WARS, COUPS is what AMERICAN FASCISTS THRIVE ON, even at the SUFFERING OF THEIR OWN CITIZENS. International Law,World Rule Based Order,HUMAN RIGHTS , SOVEREIGNTY OF OTHER COUNTRIES ( Canadian Values) are not visible or followed by Fascist America . Unless those values are construed for their FASCIST NEEDS AND DOMINANCE OVER ADVERSARIES OR ALLIES .
US is a danger to the human race on earth, they will never give in to war. War is their "bread and butter” for their economy. The warmongers in congress cheered and clapped with glee when they innocent lives were lost while playing war games with the rest of us. the madness is people in the world most notably Europe, took part in their warfare. Ukraine is a good case study, where it is a war between US neocons and Russia, using NATO and Ukraine as their proxies. Thousands of lives lost with zelensky now the fall guy for the US defeat. US is now saying the Ukraine war is zelensky and EU in the making - sort it out! The savagery of US propaganda has conned EU and NATO into a needless war. Also, mustn’t forget UK played a pivotal role in the Ukrainian war against Russia. Both countries should be brought to trial for war crime on the deaths of so many Ukrainians and Russians.
I've heard that weaponry supplied by Washington is being sold on to whoever by the gangsters. So we better watch out - thanks, Joe! As always the US leaves an utter catastrophe behind, though this one's bigger than most. But no doubt the "indispensable" USA bullshit rhetoric will go on. It would be a nice surprise if "our" useless and corrupted leaders would now tell Trump that his plan for ethnic cleansing and bonanza is not only unworkablea but diabolically wrong, but that's asking too much of these people, not that Trump would understand in any case.
As always you have my full respect. The US is the evil empire but Putin's record is also expansionist and he is in many ways the mirror image of Trump, a narcissist. Russia like the US is run by oligarchs. Invasion by one country of another is always, always, wrong. I stand firmly with Palestinians and with Ukrainians. I stand with Jews who are against genocide. I stand Russians who are against the assault on the Ukraine. I stand against the US's revolting foreign policy and I stand against capitalism which is burning the planet. I hold hope for a new system that replaces capitalism, for a new kind of socialism where nurturers rather than mercenaries are applauded. I'm tired of despots using people as pawns.
I love your shared passion for the plight of the Palestinian people. However we differ on Russia’s special operations in Ukraine. I have watched much video (translated) in which Mr. Putin has spoken, and I believe he is one of the world’s greatest leaders.
I feel nothing but the deepest sympathy for the Ukrainian soldiers lost to this Amerikkka-inspired war; what a shameful waste of human life! However, considering the tribulations endured by the Russian speakers in the Donbass oblasts (the banning of their language, religion, political parties, as well as being the targets for murder by Zelensky’s government) I cannot understand why anyone would have any question about Putin’s decision to invade.
He was protecting his people! Isn’t that what legitimate governments are supposed to do?
Oh our first point of difference! I love that you shared your thoughts. I do think and ponder, and reflect and read and consider. My views are open to change but they have been formed by graft.
I would love to believe that Russia was and is the Russia of my dreams. But it is capitalist. Of course it is head to head with the US and perhaps it might have been different if that were not so, perhaps. Does the Ukraine have fascists in its midst? Yes. So does every country and on that basis my country could be invaded. Fifty seven muslims were killed here when one Australian white incel stormed into two mosques. Felled people who welcomed him at the door. Felled my son's friend. I digress.
Cards are on the table. I have dear friends who do support Stalin but I saw some pretty horrid things under totalitarianism and I am mindful that the US pushed the cold war to freezing.
I also think the history of Europe - feudalism is relevant. All the petty wars. All the lords. All the high taxes against the poor. All the false borders. The legacy of war after war. The legacy of rich winning over the working poor and the deprived of income poor.
I think we both seek a very different system to capitalism and that is important and I am trying to find a way through with other like-minded people.
I covered the fall of the Ceausescu regime in Romania and saw so much that was despicable but I had no illusions either. I did not see any fall as a win. The US was there as it always is, and it didn't give a fig for the malnourished people seeking to emigrate to United States that promised a dream. The US embassy abandoned them to capitalism where the rich got richer and the poor still suffered and many died.
I'm cynical about all these regimes but I do have hope. My view is not, I like to think, entirely driven by personal relationships. I see Syria as complex as well. There is no one perfect regime right now and when people have suffered oppression it is hard for freedom to rise, it is hard for democracy to be created where there was none at all. This is the legacy South Africa faced after apartheid. The pain is now felt by the masses rather than the black and coloured people. The pain is spread. Is the regime corrupt? No more than the last regime. And on it goes.
No minority should be oppressed. I'm skeptical about the reasons for invasion. It's an excuse used often. I would love to believe Putin simply wanted to free the oppressed but these leaders always say this and at the end of the day they also oppress.
In East Germany before communism fell I did see sparks of something different, something hopeful, before the Wall opened. I met people who did not want to lose socialism but it needed some pretty heavy tinkering. They didn't want capitalism, those people I met. They did not want that at all.
I admire you and George. And I remain open to ideas about how to stop extermination for expansion, about how to defeat the empire and create a very different system.
George, as usual we generally have the same outlook.
As a complete unknown CanaDian, The Kansas City Times was quoting me September 13, 1976, publishing these controversial words and images.
This article, and an increasing number of other writers in the MSM and Alternate media, can see it unfolding in real TIME these 49 years later:
“He came to town for the Republican National Convention and will stay until the election in November TO DO GOD'S BIDDING: To tell the World, from Kansas City, this country has been found wanting and its days are numbered [...] He gestured toward a gleaming church dome. “The gold dome is the symbol of BABYLON,” he said.” [...] He wanted to bring to the Public’s attention an “idea being put out subtly and deceptively” by the government that we have to get prepared for a War with Russia.”
That 1976 FUTURE is NOW with the Revelation of the details GENERALLY unfolding in the spirit of the letter. The World is waking up to see Americans may hasten “its days are numbered” part of the 1976 Vision, and waits with bated breath.
I posted a new article to my Blog Today. This is the preamble:
The SIGNS OF THE TIMES article I originally posted on September 1, 2013, is too long and convoluted. To refine and improve it, I turned to one of the growing number of AI platforms for assistance. The result is a significant improvement over my original writing and organization, making the narrative clearer and more engaging.
If reading this article is still too long, you can scroll down to see after all the back and forth input between AI and I, AI wrote a good synopsis of this whole article.
Liberty Memorial Mall in Kansas City
Video clip from the 1983 movie THE DAY AFTER, which depicts Kansas City—of all the major US cities—being incinerated in a nuclear holocaust, including the iconic Liberty Memorial Mall. Directly below the video is the Kansas City Times follow-up to the September 13 record, featuring a picture of me. Remarkably, this image mirrors the very same end scene from the movie, echoing the newspaper record from seven years earlier on ALL SOULS DAY.
Will the dumbass Neo-cons like transgender Senator Lindsay Graham resign or continue to mouth Pro-War rhetoric to badger Trump for more military spending?

Your math is frightening, but may be closer to reality than the 48,000-plus figure. For what it may be worth, PressTV (an Iranian news outlet) suggest "366,000" [https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2025/02/12/742666/Palestine-Gaza-war-death-toll-higher-figure-mainstream-media-American-lawyer-Steven-Donziger-estimate]. Whatever the actual number, it seems reasonably to view the "official" count with skepticism.
I’d almost back the number to be greater than the 250K mark

Trump was president during that particular damp squib.
Thank you Saige.
