Profiting from Pain: The Outrage of an American Occupation in Gaza

The very notion of an American occupation in Gaza is not just outrageous—it’s an affront to humanity. The horrifying proposal to displace over 2 million Palestinians from the land where their families have lived for thousands of years is a crime against history, against dignity, and against every principle we claim to uphold.

Disguising this heinous plan as “development” or “stability” is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt at profiteering from suffering. The idea of turning Gaza into a so-called “Middle Eastern Riviera” is not visionary—it’s vicious. It’s a grotesque display of power prioritizing profit over people, luxury over lives, and greed over grief.

This isn’t redevelopment. It’s erasure. The forced removal of millions under the guise of progress echoes the darkest chapters of history, where those in power justified atrocities as necessary for “the greater good.”

The U.S. president’s decree that such actions are “good for them” is a chilling reminder of how easily the powerful can distort reality. There is no good in forced displacement. There is no progress in paving over the pain of the oppressed.

We must reject this narrative. We must stand against the exploitation of trauma, the commodification of grief, and the weaponization of power. This is not peace. This is not progress. This is theft—of land, of history, of humanity.

And the world is watching.

A beautifully rendered response to George's fine post. You both state this horror so well and thank you for standing for truth and goodness. We cannot submit to this. We must not succumb and we must not let them treat Palestinians as expendable. Free Free Palestine.

Hi Saige

And meanwhile the West Bank Palestinians are being systematically murdered while Satanyahoo thinks no one is watching.

So true. I took a taxi to the West Bank once. In those days the IOF used rubber bullets on the kids not the permanent penetrating between eyes and heart-piercing bullets they habitually use on children now. If I could take that taxi again (the driver abandoned me but the PLO were perfectly polite) make my way in and out, I would stay longer and writer more urgently, I would beg the world harder, from my knees. I would show no sympathy to the unapologetic occupiers because I’ve lost sympathy. All of it. When people ask about October 7th they need to push back to the start to ‘48 when the British were raping Palestinian women and murdering babies. I had no idea of the history and I wish I’d known. I wish I’d known and said more, done more, for every child lost, for ever woman and man - for all the Palestinians whose plight is still ignored.

The speech by Trump made me sick to the stomach; I even thought it was some AI hoax when I first heard it.

Then I questioned WHY he would do it and in front of the World !!? and UNFORTUANETELY came back to a view I hold ... however stupid this may sound, I am "mostly" believing it myself.

It is to cause social divide in our Western societies, where most decent people see the genocide as it is. It is also to create fear that these globalist parasitical scum can do ANYTHING they like, without come back - it is a diversion of sorts from from what else is going down with National Western Governments - elimination of freedom of speech, total control of us via digital wallets etc ... and and. We hear of the multipolar World, all BS - NOT INDEPENDENT AT ALL. The World will be split into different areas to control their peoples under their religion, culture etc until said religions and cultures are eliminated (2-5 generations ?).

They have us and we need some lateral thinking in our counter, because social unrest and hanging the c***s plays into their hands - "Out of chaos comes order" etc.

There is great hope with so many "awakening" - dump smart phones and smart meters as a start.

PS Egypt has already built a wall and internment camp at the Israeli / Egyptian border; many thousands of Palestinians will go there to protect their loved ones ... oh and then shipped to European Countries or the US; where our globalist scum puppets will welcome them.

So, even if it were attempted to remove between 1.5 and 2.3 million Palestinians from Gaza, depending upon how many Israel has exterminated, HOW COULD IT EVEN BE POSSIBLE?

Load them onto trucks at gunpoint in the old-fashioned way? But wait, Hamas and the other Resistance groups have not been defeated so they will still be fighting the occupation forces, American or Israeli. How is that going to work?

And even if they could get them to the borders of Jordan and Egypt, since the public in both countries support the Palestinians and their fight, the societies would erupt and the Governments of both countries would come toppling down and no amount of American money could save them.

But say they do manage to empty Gaza? So what? There are another 4 million in the rest of Occupied Palestine who will continue to resist the Shitraelis so what are they going to do with them? More trucks, build gas ovens, push them where?

The entire concept is insanity devoid of any reality or possibility.

I literally feel sick. The Palestinian Solidarity Network of Aotearoa (New Zealand) will be staging more protests against this nightmare this weekend. We stand firmly against these despots as they try to divide up the world to dispossess the survivors of Imperial expansion. It seems like every good hero has lost and the evil dudes and dudesses are winning. Please let it not be so.

I promise you it isn't. Hamas demonstrates kindness and humility towards their POWs and trolls the fascists when they let them go. That really pisses the Zionists off🤣 They want the world to think it's the Arabs who are the enemies and when the Arabs show their kindness it exposes the Zionists lies about the Western nations being "civilized."

With most young Americans including 66% of young American Jews supporting the Palestinians and Hamas, and with a huge decline in volunteers for the US military, just what are the chances of American soldiers going to Gaza to wipe out Hamas and drive out nearly 2 million Palestinians, nearly half of them children?

I would say zero. I could be wrong, but think about the logistics of it. Trump must sell a war against the native people of Palestine, the Holy Land, where their soldiers will be murdering and ethnically cleansing the native people of the land, in order to, supposedly make Israel safe and to do some real estate development in Gaza?

And since even if they destroyed the Resistance in Gaza it would continue in the rest of Occupied Palestine as well as in surrounding countries so the US military would never be able to leave, and the Israelis would continue to be attacked, until Palestine is free. The ability to build a shiny Gaza for Jewish colonists appears remote indeed. Surely easier to just end the occupation and stop murdering people?

With millions of Americans poor or working poor and struggling to survive, Trump is going to sell them a war to keep murdering men, women and children in Palestine in the name of the Israeli colony? I expect to see a lot of flying pigs.

With most Americans, particularly young Americans, including 66% of Jews on the side of the Palestinians and Hamas, just how does Trump think he can sell hundreds of bodybags to the American public to make his genocidal dream of ethnic cleansing a reality?

And who the fuck do Americans think they are, rampaging around the world slaughtering and tearing apart other countries?

For months I pointed out to various "progressive" voices that as horrible as "Genocide Joe" Biden was, he and Harris were better than the alternative. "Oh, there's no difference," they insisted. Others bleated at me that they would NEVER vote for someone who enabled genocide.

Well, guess what, folks? There actually IS a "worse than," and Trump is proof of that. Congratulations to all the imbeciles who either stayed home, voted for a third-party candidate, or (out of perverse spite) actually voted for Trump.

So, will American soldiers go into Gaza and achieve what the Israelis failed to do, eradicate Hamas and all other members of the Palestinian Resistance and then remove 1.5 - 2 million Palestinians, nearly half of them children, at gunpoint, loaded onto trucks and taken either to the border with Egypt or driven across the rest of Occupied Palestine to the border with Jordan and then forced off the trucks at gunpoint???

How can anyone even think that would be possible?

Roslyn Ross's avatar

Firstly Trump would have to convince Americans that their soldiers dying to take Palestine for Israel is worth it.

Second the Americans need to have enough soldiers to do it because they would have to remain in Gaza and Occupied Palestine permanently.

The Resistance could be destroyed in Gaza but it would be energised in the rest of Occupied Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and more. And with nothing to lose the Resistance would no doubt resort to Israeli methods and start blowing up civilians in what is called Israel and the United States. Yep, can see that working.

Just remember the Americans failed to defeat a Resistance fighting for their homeland in Vietnam and Afghanistan. They have a history of failure and Palestine would be no different.

I agree with you completely. However: (1) If Trump says something is good, his army of MAGGOTS will agree with him, and most Democrats are too spineless to object very strenuously. (2) Trump and the Trumpistas think only short-term, which is to say that when they have removed the Palestinians -- and let us NOT forget that such a forced transfer across internationally recognized borders is considered a war crime (cf., Nuremberg) -- it will be "mission accomplished." [Don't laugh, but he'll then insist that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize!] (3) I am all too well aware of Vietnam, but most Americans do not know history and have very short memories. They'll get their information on Fox (Faux) News or even worse sources, and their ignorance will be Trump's strength (as it has been from Day One).

You are thinking long-term. Trump is thinking short-term. He and his inner circle will remain safe, and if some "others" are killed, he will never shed a tear...

Agree in general with what you say but body bags ended the Vietnam War. Even ignorant Americans will not like body bags coming back from Palestine.

Firstly since the Israelis failed, the Americans have to destroy the Palestinian Resistance and Hamas in Gaza. How long do you think that will take?

How many bodies will Americans accept when most are on the side of the Palestinians anyway?

We invaded Vietnam in the mid-1950s. Heavy deployment began after the so-called Gulf of Tonkin "incident" in 1964. The war ended in 1973 -- and we had actual news media in those days, along with a higher percentage of politicians with integrity. However, I cannot answer your questions.

The USA is not a signatory of the Rome Statute. It does not recognize the ICC. There is no avenue to prosecuting US officials except under US law, or through military force. Indeed, they have threatened and passed legislation to invade the Netherlands should any of its citizens be put before the ICC.

The ICC is purely to prosecute small nations, not the big global players, none of whom have ratified the Rome Statute. Not the USA, not Russia, not China, not India.

What will happen instead is that the Western led global order will accelerate its decline, BRICS will expand, the non-aligned movement will explode, and US sanctions will become completely ineffective. At some point China will knock on the door as the dominant power, and then the US faces a choice: acquiesce and permit Chinese supremacy, or initiate global nuclear war.

This is a choice all great powers face eventually, but it's the first time in the nuclear age.

Well it looks like het got it out of the way early. I still give him the benefit of the doubt of his long game. However, it is very not proper way to deal with humans who live on the defensive for generations.
