Hubris and cruelty have been the calling card of the IDF for a long time now.

The brutality of a people setting in lounge chairs while watching the Israeli Air force bomb civilians back in 2014 comes to mind.

Chutspa is it's own worst enemy, as the IDF posting on Tic Tock selfies of them wearing clothing of Palestinian women and so forth has changed the world opinion of Israel.

Karma it seems, is real.

I consider your assessment very likely to be an accurate one.

Netanyahu and his hard right-wing demagogue allies are not fighting a war but rather pursuing the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and others whom they despise. Their motivation is power, control, destruction and genocide. There is no heart, only hatred and enmity.

The thing is, as has been shown many times over, throughout history, when a people are persecuted for years and attacked or held hostage in their own homeland, sooner or later they will resist. Once that happens, they cannot be bowed and whatever losses they suffer, they will only get stronger. No, they may not prevail the first time or even the second or third time but, they will prevail. Their strength is not in their weapons but in their hearts, their souls, their dignity, their determination and their knowledge that their cause is just.

There is nothing just about Israel's cause. Israel is not the Jews who suffered at the hands of the Germans or anyone else. Israel is a State created on Palestinian land from which its people where dispossessed unceremoniously and all of this caused by the perfidy of foreign western powers. It has no valid entitlement to the land it occupies and any semblance of credibility it may have had, has long since been lost through its criminal actions. Indeed, its leadership and the IDF have not even cared about their own citizens, having killed several of the hostages through their indiscriminate targeting of civilian areas, hospitals, schools and such. I'm unsure as to how many IDF lives have been lost but it is probably more than the 1139 Israelis that were killed on 7 October 2023.

That is why I tend to think that you are right.

Israel has achieved nothing by following Netanyahu and his supporters in pursuing these crimes against humanity. They have simply demonstrated that they don't deserve to be considered worthy of existence as an independent state and that not only their leadership but many of the IDF ought to be arrested and on trial for war crimes, crimes against humanity and more.

We shall see. I am afraid the IDF are not through committing crimes against humanity. They probably won't stop unless and until they are truly fighting to remain alive, but let us hope I am wrong.

Excellent assessment. The bully lost. Israhell has been beaten by not just Hezbollah but by its own overreaching agenda...

Every single time they attack Lebanon and start to fight people who can fight back, they get their asses handed to them and start crying to the US to bail them out of their mess.

Even IF there is a ceasefire what happens next?

Will Israel continue to be a State?

Will there be International Observers overseeing that the ceasefire is kept in Israel?

I have absolutely NO trust in this Zionist State and I cannot imagine them stopping the killing of Palestinians.

We've certainly learned, and will/can never forget, a hell of a lot about the depravity of Zionist Israel. We've also learned that our MSM is right down there in the gutter with them.

George , this possibility brought some cheer this morning. Thank you for bringing the possibility of a ceasefire to my attention. I agree with everything you say about the cowardice and totally lack of humanity and morals clearly demonstrated by the IDF and their Government. The resistance is so courageous , they are fighting for us all in this battle against evil.

George - excellent article - do you think because the IDF isn’t doing so well in Lebanon and therefore resorting to its usual bombing of residential buildings where there has never been a Hezbollah presence - that it is taking out its failure in Lebanon by even more deliberate carnage and restriction/looting of aid trucks in Gaza or what’s left of it?

I don't think that Hezbolah should agree to any terms that enables Israel to attack it again. It would also be good to end this before the nasty tRump gets in there to promote more mayhem.
