The last thing I would ever do is uphold anything that has the tinyist connection to the US, ever.

Why is our government bending to do what ever the US wants. Males needs to be removed from that portfolio, bad if Albanese sees himself as another Howard who asked how high when the US told him to jump. We do not need another MP brown-nosing North America. A hesitation is not enough, a point blank refusal is what is needed, someone has to refuse to be fodder for the US and we might as well be first up. Otherwise, Albanese can pack his bags and move out of Kirribilli.

Hi Davina

Albanese does NOT deserve to share a surname with the wonderful Francesca Albanese. Name change for the former suggestion: “Bendover”.

The phrase “the international rules based order” just makes me want to vomit. Meaningless drivel and in any case violated by the US bombing Iran for recent starters. What ffing ‘rules based order’? It’s the US’s rules - law unto themselves and compliant little Australia just says “me too”. As for Marles…….

On every point GH you have nailed it. Back when I was a kid the worst thing to be called was of being a "crawler" - which is exactly what Marles is. A crawler to the big bully US. Obsequious - he shames every Australian not somehow on the take - like Scott Morrison, Joe Hockey, Kevin Rudd and others still in the current government looking for their exit jobs in the US. It's time to restrict any politician who has served long enough to gain a pension - then move on to some other high-paying position on a board or otherwise - to have their pension (and entitlements to travel etc) forfeited. Finished. Ended. And no right to get back on that gravy train should the board position finish. Better still - restrict to three times the maximum number of terms an MHR can serve - no pensions/entitlements ever at the conclusion! Senators - maximum two terms! And accountability to any who serve other countries - publicly or otherwise. For soldiers sent abroad to wars not of our making - and to their families for deaths, maiming and PTSD/Moral Injury expenses - charged to the politician holding the portfolio which sent them. Let's start with Marles and Albanese and Wong.

Yep here in NZ the situation is similar. I believe our govt has committed ˜$176M to Ukraine and for the very same reasons. Sucking up US arse. Our politicians are f... idiots.

Thank you for this excellent reporting George. I know in the US the MSM is locked up tight. Is there still a way to get this critical information out to the public in Australia?

Beyond ‘Operational Experience’ I can see nothing but sycophancy. Albo is a good little lapdog.

Interesting the concept of Bendover being a lap-dog. During my many years living in Japan that was the go-to epithet used for almost all their (usually) short-termed prime ministers - lap-dogs of the US! All of them - owned by the US.
