Yes, three cheers to Pakistan. And perhaps it will, in that unexpected way of things, finally unite the Arab world. Although of course the Iranians are not Arabs, but their actions make the Arabs look like gutless cowards.

The interesting thing will be if Trump is playing his own game, allowing the Israelis to overstep the mark and be punished, when he has no intention of going to war against Iran to support them. It could be a stretch, but, if it were the case, what a screw you moment for Trump against Netanyahu and the forces which seek to dictate to him and the US.

Israel is a rabid dog that needs to be put down as it's insanity is now out of its own control and the only thing left is to put it out of its misery... By utmost Force, as that's the only language they understand

Iran's hits against them are just the beginning of the definite end of the Zionist pigs, long may it continue 🥂✊🏽

I hope your analysis proves to be correct as this progresses. I see too that other Muslim nations such as Pakistan have put out the call for support and solidarity. 🤞

I am so weary and angered hearing “ Israel must protect itself” and “ we stand with Israel “ from my heartless Canadian leaders . The evidence is clear yet there is no meaningful follow through in a brave truthful response to Israel’s menace and horror . Gaza and the people who live there are being horrifically and brutally destroyed .. now Iran in manipulative , destruction and nonsensical attacks on their people and land . I hope Iran can be shored up and supported in its defence . I dearly hope you are right George .

It is a quasi religion, religion, ideology, cult, whatever you want to call it. And it's biblical (in the bible).

And it has an eschatology.

oh my YES, ojo! the US-supported zioisraelis are the unalloyed apotheoses of moral depravity and spiritual decrepitude. theybharbour a shameless absence of moral clarity. one day, moral injury will sweep that thieving, illegally-occupying, psychopathic state away; that day cannot arrive soon enough.

Excellent overview and it should never be underestimated, and you are not, the impact it will have on Israelis to be shown that they are vulnerable, the Iron Dome does not work, and that others can do to them what they have done unto others for 77 years. The loss of faith in their superiority and impenetrability, will send even more hurrying back to where they came from.

More than anything it represents the cracking of the cult of Israel because without the society believing what the cult teaches, the cult cannot survive. Israel was always fragile because it was a State based on lies. That works only as long as the members of the state believe, totally, fervently, passionately that the lies are truth. That is no longer the case.

Also at work in others, particularly self-serving cowardly Arab States, will be the understanding that Israel is not the power it claimed to be and it can be defeated.

It's said that "Pride comes before a fall." Perhaps now we are seeing the gratuitous arrogance and casual cruelty of Israel at last about to "reap what it has sown."

It may even be that the 2nd term of office of the self-aggrandising buffoon that is Donald Trump and the 7 decades of funding and arms provision by the USA to Israel, may well see a new dynamic in that nation. Perhaps even a larger proportion of Trump's deluded backers will see the error of their ways, than those who don't.

It will surprise no-one that human beings seem not to learn from history and Netanyahu and Trump are certainly examples of how stupidly ignorant some who gain authority can be. Just as most monarchies crumble and the British 'nobility' have lost much of their genetically inherited position and monarchical largesse, so dictatorship and autocratic rule is usually a path to disaster.

I am a pacifist. I feel no joy at even more conflict, killing, maiming, destruction and horror. However, for far too long western hegemony has run amok and raped the world with relative impunity. Those who doubt or disagree with that need only look at the historical record and compare the number of incursions into other nations by the USA as compared with the number made by those nations we are taught to fear and see as 'rogue' and threatening.

Born in England, having served in the British forces in the Middle East and having lived for a lengthy time in Australia, a sycophantic follower first of Britain and more latterly, of the USA, it doesn't make me feel secure to see the 'banger' (colloquial term in England for a powerful fire-cracker) that Israel, assisted by the moronic assertions and 'policies' i.e. random, ill-considered statements and acts, of Donald Trump - continuing the very USA traditional stance that he claimed he would change by "draining the swamp."

The one saving grace for me, perhaps, is that I am close to 80 years old and most of my life has passed. However, it grieves me, after all the crises, natural disasters and human conflicts during my lifetime, to see the ethos of relief and collaboration which brought about rejection of might and tyranny and the impetus for the formation of the United Nations with an aim to avoid future wars and seek compromise and win-win solutions to international differences, to have been lost so quickly and now, those ideals disregarded with impunity by many of those who initiated and/or benefited from it.

Let us hope that this conflict and that in Eastern Europe, somehow don't turn into even greater conflagrations and that the obnoxious and cruel "leaders' in this World are removed and no more ever allowed to return.

Surely it is time that humanity matured. Of all the animals, we are the only ones who kill by choice rather than simply out of instinct for survival and the lack of an intelligence level that would allow choice of another way.

All true, but if the US gets involved - then everything changes, more people will die in the futility of war. I imagine Iran must have contingency plans for the likelihood of such.

Quick one. Above it states "The US is no longer the force it once was" ... but when was it ?. Of course it has shiny and big new weapons, biggest exporter due to bullying, interference or influence, petrodollar etc etc (mostly a load of crap) but they are so "gung ho" - "shoot first etc", they cause more blue on blue deaths and injuries than anyone else.

To quote an old post = "The United States has been involved in military conflicts for a significant portion of its history. According to various sources, the U.S. has been at war for 222 out of 239 years since 1776.

Another source states that in the entire history of the United States, there has been a grand total of 15 years when the country has not been at war with someone.

Additionally, it is noted that the U.S. has been at war at some time in 93.5 percent of the calendar years between 1775 and 2018.

These figures highlight the extensive involvement of the U.S. in military conflicts throughout its history." .......

Somebody give me a list of the "wars" they have won.... and please do not state WWII.
