It’s hard to understand why Washington has bunkered down around its concession of Ukraine’s failed campaign to deliver the US a fool’s belief they would defeat Russia in a war that was never possible and always improbable.
George, another insightful analysis of a seemingly intractable threat to our Common Humanity.
Russia vs the 32 + US/NATO Nations, both sides believing they're in an EXISTENTIAL conflict.
The US/NATO demanding unconditional Surrender by Russia, without any meaningful Diplomacy to deescalate, is pie in the sky!
"The aspect of internal consolidation is crucial as it translates into sustained support for military actions abroad, which Russia frames as necessary for national security and global respect."
Russia is following the US example in that, except in the US, the people are divided against the Leadership and tired of US Foreign WARS financed with BORROWED MONEY.
Here I am in Europe (France) and we are going through a European election (which has not taken 2yrs a la US Elections)
Every Town and village has billboards so we know who we might be voting for.
Me I am voting communist. Which no US person would understand.
The idea in Europe has always been ...vote far left in order to get to the middle. I just want a socialist government.
IF we go far right......so be it. We have a way in France of doing our own thing regardless of who is in power.
We do NOT all agree on everything but the minute healthcare/housing/elderly people housing/education is taken away from us by any government is taken away from us. We will have a revolution. The powers that be......know this.
NATO is constantly making the same mistakes that the Germans did during WWII - from a military standpoint, logistics are a nightmare, with thousands of kilometres either driven or flown from NATO warehouses to Ukraine, and so many different vehicles and armour - the only thing NATO has in common is ammunition calibre. Imagine having a mix of all those weapons systems, plus you are correct that the Ukrainian military is not trained, prepared, or, most importantly, motivated.
As well, it appears that there are many experts on Russia, Communism, Russian military tactics and operations in the West, specialists who have never spent at least one year serving in the Warsaw Pact military, and so on.
Russia deliberately and purposefully has a lower percentage of highly advanced military machinery in case of nuclear war (EMP), thus you are correct: Russia must have resilient low-tech machinery that is easier to repair, replace, and requires less qualified people.
Regarding Russia's operations in Africa, they are exploiting ancient roads laid by the GDR military and training almost 500,000 militia, military, and other groups until 1990, thus Russia has simply updated the entire process.
My brother Mario what an outstanding assessment..
Love this ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks George. Not only for an interesting read, but also for getting rid of the (rather off-putting) cartoonish avatar! 🙂
Brilliant. Thanks for this George.
