I would not hold my breath waiting for the US or NATO to develop a more "constructive emgagement" with Russia. The US is concerned with maintaining their power. They want to remain "empire". They are not concerned about constructive engagement with anyone if it might mean that American "democracy" might be diminished.

The only problem is the west is beyond rationality. They are hysterical lashing out as they refuse to accept the new multipolar world order that BRICS will dominate.

The west is well down the road to perdition and a very bleak future if we don't change our ways.

Unfortunately the corruption in Washington is so deeply embedded it will take many years before a new progressive equilibrium will be established.

The 2014 US/CIA orchestrated Coup/regime change of the Democratically Elected Russian friendly government installed an UN-elected anti-Russian government.

That US proxy anti-Russian government immediately starting the shelling the majority Russian speaking Ukrainians in the East bordering Russia who voted for that Russian friendly government, and rejected the US Regime Change.

But for that, most likely Crimea would still be under Ukrainian Administration. That US Coup forced Russia to annex the majority Russian speaking Ukrainians in Crimea that was part of Russia from 1783 until the Soviet President Ukrainian Khrushchev turned it over to Ukraine when is was part of the Soviet Union in 1954, to administer as an Autonomous region.

Hopefully the big dummies of the U.S. MIC will learn something from your post, George. Diplomacy, instead of ‘Might Makes Right’ might be a better way to go in dealing with Russia. Especially, since Russia was our historical ally in moments of America’s greatest need like the American Civil War and World War II. It was the Red Army that stopped Hitler and liberated the Nazi concentration camps. At the same time, it was Sir Halford MacKinder’s ‘Divide and Conquer’ British Geopolitics that started the World Wars and threaten to start World War III today.

Apropos of this; the US refuses to acknowledge its time is over and is pulling the EU down with it.

Iran, Russia and China just need to wait. The future is BRICS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK6x0Sc8maQ

John Mearsheimer warned that the US should be friendly with Russia, instead their stupid belligerence pushed it into an indomitable alliance with China. US arrogance has been a huge factor contributing to the mess they are in today.
