I love your analysis. George I do.

Israel will do something, no questions asked, but this is not the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Things have changed, including the weapons system, tactics, and payload delivery. It goes without saying that Iran has also used asymmetric warfare to drain Israel financially - cheap drones vs highly advanced AA missiles and munition.

Israel has been fighting barefoot militia equipped with light infantry weapons in Gaza for seven months, at a cost to Israel and its supporters.

This summer, more than ten major airlines suspended flights to Israel, costing money, the economy, and products interchange.

This is not the mid-1970s, when war lasted only a few days and Israel advertised itself as a powerful force; instead, they are at war on two fronts for seven months, which, in my military experience, is the worst-case situation.

1. "Wreckless" nope, it is "reckless".

2. No, Iran has NOT repeatedly threatened to wipe out Israel, it never made that threat. It was a deliberate mistranslation by "israel" in order to justify its aggressive stance against Iran, which suddenly emerged as the new #! enemy after Iraq disappeared as its main "enemy".

I hope I’m wrong, though I don’t think I am, but Israel will retaliate and the Biden administration will come to its defense again. Biden is a slave to Israel. He supports them against his own reelection interests and against the national security interests of his country. He can’t help himself. He is a true believer in the Zionist cause.

George, thanks very much for this thoughtful post. I sincerely hope that you are correct, that the Us will not support it’s psychotic child (the zionist entity) any longer in provoking WW3.

After decades of waging asymmetric warfare on the Middle East as a top predator, America now has to learn to fight on the cheap.

The cost of the air defense systems and interceptors needed to take down the Iranian strike can’t be repeated indefinitely. And it is evident that the claim of only nine missiles getting through is not credible.

America is bringing three different foreign aid packages to Congress with growing opposition to their cost.

Our equipment is designed with the assumption of a quick victory parade over nicely paved streets. Our military just seems designed for the wrong era, as often happens. Big, lumbering hunks of steel, in the water or on land, aren’t going to survive for long. Buildups of men material and forward based supplies for the big attack will be suicide. Assaults will have to be planned like the opening scene of Goodfellas - one long moving continuous take never pausing to take it all in. Fast, small, and armed to the teeth with drones and ecm devices..
