thank you, george hazim, for your sobering, broad-spectrum insights and comprehensive exegesis of middle east dynamics, particularly as they are currently unfolding between israeli sociopaths and the more sagacious and 'sober' iranians.

Hey George,

I think your sentiment is echoed by Scott Ritter, Col. Doug Macgregor, Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatowski and also my favourite dude Judge Nepolitano,

Many Arabs still refer to the Iranians as Persians, and for good reason. Persia's still in Iran, and those old Indo-European cultural currents still run strong and deep. Persians have always been patient, and slow to go to war. When they do, they usually prepare in advance and strike only when they feel they are ready.

The retaliatory strike last weekend was absolutely masterful. Iran warned the US and Israel 3 DAYS before the strike which targets they were going to hit, used mostly antiquated stuff and STILL hit their targets, without killing anyone.

I can't help but be impressed. Neither can the US military and perhaps the IDF, if the latter hasn't gone completely batshit crazy.

New York Post with a headline story today about how the Iranian strike was a complete failure and the Mullahs have been exposed as incompetent barbarians.

We have instantaneous worldwide communications these days but war is still mostly a matter of lies and propaganda. And the loudest voices are usually the most ignorant.

We underestimate the competence and resolve of our ever growing list of mortal enemies at our own peril. WWIII is not shaping up to be a triumphant rerun of WWII.

Not only that, but Israel is preparing to strike back, so they obviously don't see it as a loss at all.

my unalloyed pleasure, as well as my respectfully submitted gratitude, george. several of us rely on your eloquent hortatives and exhortations in order to maintain some semblance of equiponderence or sanguinity. however, unlike me, they are not retired. subsequently, they do not have the disposable or discretionary time to acknowledge their appreciation that i have been propined as a retiree.

I just hope Biden et al have the sense to not support Israel's desire to have us fight Iran. So far he's been in lockstep with Satanyahu. He's said our commitment to Iz security is "ironclad" so all Iz has to do is strike Iran in a way that leaves them no choice but to truly retaliate. I fear this may happen.
