If ignorance was a super power, America would indeed be #1.

Don't forget good old-fashioned racism - at least here in the UK. Islamophobia, not forgetting Russophobia. Which is, of course, a lethal manifestation of ignorance.

Thats well said George.

An indication of where the current government leads Australia in the world, and what they think the Australian people stand for can be gleaned from Wong's lecture to the UN the other day,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6RPhYydms4,

note the double standards, anti-Arab racism, and the total subservience to US imperialism.

She waffled on about the rules of war applying to all states after Israel dropped 83 tonnes of high explosives, all in a few seconds, onto a residential block in Dahiya, demolishing 6 residential towers, vaporising untold numbers of civilians, all in the quest to murder a great leader of the Arab people.

She had the temerity to invoke UN Resolution 181 - "a plan for 2 states side by side, 1 Jewish, 1 Palestinian." Completely ignoring articles 55 and 56 of the UN charter that condemn APARTHEID as a crime against humanity, along with the parts of Res 181 that prohibited the transfer of Palestinians from their homes without just compensation.

The minister claimed Australia has sanctioned settler extremists by denying them visas, what about the actions of the IOF supporting those extremists?

I'm certain Palestinians resident in the occupied PALESTINIAN territories give a damn about the availability of Australian visas to a settler who has just murdered a family member, poisoned their flock, destroyed their olive grove, or burned their home and contents and their car.

The Australian government has permitted 1000 Australians to go to Israel and join the occupation forces in the war against Palestinians. How many of those people have photographed themselves partying in the homes of Palestinians who have been killed, detained, or driven off to a tent or school, to be bombed later?

Have they sniped children, killing them with a single shot to the head?

Have they broken into the money boxes in the homes of the displaced?

Have they dressed and paraded in Palestinian womens lingerie while filming themselves "having fun"?

Have they been involved in sodomising detainees with sticks, or hot irons, or just the " normal torture of Palestinians, for the crime of being Palestinian?

Have they demonstrated for the right of those responsible for the detainees in their charge to rape them?

Are the people committing those crimes, or observing those crimes suitable people to be released into an unaware Australian community?

I know that I do not want such a person as my neighbour!

Wong stated that a future Palestinian state must not be in a position to threaten Israel's security.

The mind boggles!

Months ago, Albanese told protestors demanding free Palestine from the river to the sea, they know nothing of the history and couldn't find the River Jordan on a map.

Both Albanese and the foreign minister should cease reading history books written by the Clinton's.

Wong went on to state that "no state should pretend that rules don't apply to them and use might over multi-lateralism, forcing outcomes by economic coercion or military muscle rather than on the level playing field established so carefully.

She claims that Australias vision is that no country dominates and no country is dominated.

Senator Wong needs to have a look at the current situation in Venezuela, where the US has interfered with a democracy since 2002, imposing trade sanctions on the recalcitrant society that continues to re- elect socialist regimes.

And as she's into history, the Senator should take a look at US interference in Chile in 1973, and how Australian spies assisted the CIA in the overthrow of Allende, along with US interference in Nicaragua and El Salvadore. Senator Wong should read Vincent Bevans book, The Jakarta Method, then listen to the words of US General Wesley Clark Talking about the US dominating 7 nations in the next 5 years, then ask herself why the Albanese government has been such a great supporter of the Morrison Brain Fart that is AUKUS.

Furthermore, based on the recent history of US interference across the globe, the use of proxies everywhere to fight many of the current 55 wars in the world in support of US hegemony, Senator Wong should ask herself whether Australia and its people benefit from our alliances with the USA, or would our future be better aligned with the BRICS nations.

Excellent piece - great writing !

However - Australia is not a Democracy - perhaps not intended as the topic of discussion imo it's related due to Canberra's leading politici functioning as Washington's obedient and submissive servants.

Australia is a democracy but the influence of foreign States, the US and Israel, and religious entities, Jews, as well as political groups, Zionists, means we do not function democratically because our politicians and Governments, not all, but most, are corrupted to the point of treason.

We do not function democratically - Correct.

Neither does the judicial system which makes it very hard to prove treason.

Very true. For the moment anyway. The public has power.

In theory only there's none on display - think how easily the masses were misled during the fraudulent diagnosis for something that has never ever been proven to exist - then went along along with it so they could continue being a wage slave - that's how easily they can be manipulated - so now I'm wondering if you took the jab?

So there's no unity the public is divided while our opponents superiority is unquestionable.

I most definitely did not take the Jab. I question everything, particularly medical and do the research. I do not believe in vaccines in general so was going to be super cautious about this one.

As to the masses going along with it I think it needs to be remembered that the old 70/30 factor is generally at work. Around 30% will take a stand when being told what to do and that is a common large minority on any issue.

Also, the nasty aspect to the Covid fiasco was that a lot of people had no choice. If people had been free to choose I suspect the 70% would have been no thanks and the 30% would have complied. I have great sympathy for those who could not afford to reject the Jabs.

The public is always divided. It is a matter of when the time has come for an idea.

Good to know you didn't - indeed many people felt they were pressured into this however there's no retribution for the harms that these draconian policies have caused - so now you have another reason why Australia is not a Democracy.

The authorities were working overtime to counter logical counter argument re Sars Cov 2 propaganda campaign and once again the topic of this article the public isn't allowed to express criticism about the official narrative about Lebanon and the recent cowardly attack by the Israeli's.

''Freedom of speech is acceptable only if you conform to the narratives of the state''

Great article, george. Though, even as your freedoms slip, so many of us wish we were there.

Here's an excellent article on Nasrallah, something deeper than the news.
