💯. Ferguson’s ‘interview’ was appalling - ignorant, embarrassing and predictably biased - with the influence of the Zio lobby more powerful than ever in this country. My initial fury has been taken over by despair.
You have analysed it exactly as I saw it. (Note that the first paragraph references Sarah Henderson - not Ferguson.) She was an absolute embarrassment and merits being stood down/censured/sacked. The rightwing Australian ALP regime deserves to lose the next election to a House full of Independents - the extreme right and Pauline Hanson totally demolished.
I think in structure/grammar terms it is something called collocation - where this word (or name) is automatically linked in the brain with another (or in your case here with another of similar (evil) dimension! We are all prone to it...
If this weren't the case I'd be shocked. State-funded and corporate media exist mainly for the purpose of manufacturing consent for the policies of the state. It's simply what they do.

Remember Walter Cronkite telling the American people Vietnam was unwinnable despite Johnson’s claims to the contrary?
