This is no different from what has happened in the rest of the West, the U.S. included. Everywhere you look, the leadership is weak, sycophantic, and works against we the people, instead of for us.
Trump is no different, except that he happens to be the "leader" of a powerful (for the time being) country, so he can treat the rest of the world with disdain and as doormats, with the exception of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Yemen.
So, spineless, boot licking, ass kissing Albanese fits perfectly in that system, and he undoubtedly would not know what to do with independence.
